... provide real-time education and training for the transitioning workforce displaced by technology?

The world is changing; as technology continues its trend of rapid advancement, robotics and artificial intelligence have begun slowly moving into everyday places of work. Economists and employment professionals are predicting massive rates of turnover among the current workforce. In a 2017 report, McKinsey & Company predicted that as many as 800 million jobs worldwide could be taken by automation in the next two decades.

Governments and socially responsible corporations have begun working toward a variety of solutions aimed at making this transitory period as painless as possible; new education methods, training programs and employee integration systems are being developed all over the world. Innovation combined with currently existing educational institutions gives a promising vision for the future of work in Alberta and beyond.
